Looking for stocking stuffers that boys will love? Here are some of our favorites to fill our boys’ stockings!

We keep the stocking formula pretty simple: It can get overwhelming to me really fast with trying to find a lot of small things to fill their stocking. Here’s our general formula:

Underwear or Socks are always going to be in their stockings. December tends to be a good time to replenish either of those, so why not add them to your stocking?

Books: I love to add books to their stockings. When they were younger it looked like a board book or paperback book, usually Christmas themed. In more recent years, that looks like a new book in a series they love or a new book to a new series to try!

Candy: A full size candy bar is basically a DREAM for my boys!

Games/Puzzles: We always include an age-appropriate card game or puzzles. The dollar store is my favorite for puzzles!

Trading cards: Baseball, Football, Pokemon, have been the preferred ones recently.

Here are several other ideas for the boys in your life that we’ve given in the past or planning to give this year:

  1. Nerf Bullets: Either in individual packs or get a bigger pack and split them up into multiple stockings.
  2. MadLibs: My 7 year old came home from school asking for these for Christmas recently. This Christmas themed one looks so fun!
  3. Paint by sticker books: My boys have loved these over the years. We’ve gotten many of the Christmas themed ones. And for older kids the adult versions are great too!
  4. Bath finger puppets: I’ve got a Paw Patrol obsessed 4 year old who is going to love these.
  5. Monopoly Deal: We gave this in a stocking a few years ago. They love this game ALL will play this together often. A great stocking stuffer!
  6. What Do You Meme Family: Gifting this in my 12 year old’s stocking this year.
  7. Sleeping Queens: This game is so fun. Good for young and older kids to play together too! There’s also Sleeping Queens 2 version we haven’t tried yet.
  8. Gnoming Around: We love the Grandpa Beck’s card games. I’m debating adding this to one of their stockings this year.
  9. Melissa & Doug Classic Card Game set: We’ve owned this set for at least 10 years! Classic card games with cards that are bigger for little hands.
  10. Bears and the Bees: Another fun Grandpa Beck card game.
  11. Book light: Our very favorite book lights for reading at night. We have two for the oldest boys and need to add another one this year. I love them for travel too.
  12. Cover Your Assets: Grandpa Beck game again! We gifted this one a few years ago. Better for the older boys right now, ages 10 and 12.
  13. Magnetic Tic Tac Toe/checkers: We have had this for years. The younger boys often pull it our and play during our read aloud time at night.
  14. Hot Wheels: ALWAYS add a Hot Wheel car to each of the boys’ stockings! I usually find these at our grocery store in a big bin for $1 each. I know there will come a time when the older ones don’t care much for them. But even this year I’m putting them in there still!
  15. Weird But True Books: These little books are so fun. I linked to the Christmas one. But my boys love so many of them. Also this gross version!
  16. Bookmark Timer: We love these little timers. There’s also a version with a light included.

How will you store all those card games or puzzles? We have two baskets in a cabinet in the living room that hold card games and small puzzles.

THESE mesh bags are my favorite for keeping card games and puzzle pieces contained.
